Plantar Fasciitis can be alleviated by Structural Integration. I can share dozens of miraculous success stories of hopeless cases of runners and others who could hardly stand to be on their feet that found usually complete relief from this symptom. The key is to not focus on the feet themselves as the root of the problem. Most often the pain in the feet, heel, or ankle is remedied by restoring the normal balance in the fascia that extends from the feet up into the leg (and hip and back!). Working to free the fascia that relates the gastroc to the soleus muscles, and then freeing the fascia that relates the muscles of the front of the leg to the rear of the leg, freeing the fascia that relates the fibula to the tibia, then restoring the natural integration of the leg into the pelvis girdle and up into the extensor muscles of the back is the big picture required to bring total and lasting change to this type of problem. This process of integrating the foot into the body is included in the Basic 10 Session Series of Structural Integration.
Since 1994, I have been a proud client of Virginia’s. I first went to see Virginia for severe migraines and misalignment in my feet causing terrible shin splints. The relief and improvement in my overall alignment, posture, and ability to breathe more freely was incredible. I am such a believer in Virginia’s abilities and have referred several family members, friends, and my professional clients. All have found similar success. I have returned to her numerous times throughout the years as various challenges have arisen. Most recently, Virginia supported me during a difficult pregnancy. I have always been proud of her deep moral values, insights, and amazing gift at healing the body and I am deeply grateful for having her in my life.

I cannot say enough about the character and quality that Virginia brings to her work. She has helped me in direct ways by addressing pain in my left hip and stress in my shoulders. She has also helped me in many indirect ways. For example, my feet are more connected to the ground when I walk; I breathe more deeply; and I believe that I am more open to the world around me.

I was having some twinges and pains in my knees from running and those have improved greatly or disappeared. I noticed a difference with each session. After each session I feel lighter, relaxed, more fluid in my movement, and my feet feel more in contact with the floor. I gained an inch after my 10 Series.
