Fibromyalgia

The Rolf Method of Structural Integration has been documented to relieve many of the symptoms of fibromyalgia including chronic fatigue, body soreness, and the resultant depression that all severe sufferers of fibromyalgia contend with. A common concern is whether the manipulation is too intense for someone who is sensitive to pressure/touch. I have discovered that if I modify my approach to not be as deep, it still works. Slowly, over time, the client becomes more tolerant of the work and usually asks for more pressure. Again, I have dozens of beautiful stories of clients who have gone from total disability to living and loving life. One woman, who could hardly leave her bed every day, decided she felt so well after 10 sessions that she would learn how to play the saxophone. The idea of taking on new projects was no longer overwhelming for her, while before she was just trying to survive each day.

I had been in constant pain for many years, believing there was nothing that I could do about it.  I was told about Virginia by a friend and called her up and made an appointment.  She worked with me in a way that didn’t cause any pain, as I had heard the work would be.  After the first session, I couldn’t believe how much better I felt.  I continued through the Ten Series and found that my pain was much better and that I had so much more energy.  I continue with her every three months and it keeps me feeling my best. I would recommend Virginia to anyone suffering with Fibromyalgia, she knows what she is doing and got me to my best self.
