My name is Virginia Solberg, and I am a Practitioner of the Rolf Method of Structural Integration.
I was introduced to Structural Integration very early in life. I was in a motor vehicle accident that caused so much pain that I needed to suspend my college career. I sought help through many modalities, only to end up without answers. Then, my then boyfriend (now husband), convinced me to go see his father, Ken Solberg, a Certified Rolfer, and receive the process of Structural Integration. Early in the process I found my pain was lifting and I was amazed. What I didn’t expect, in addition to pain relief, was the freedom and ease in my body after the Integration process. I was restored and renewed to a functional body. I had the usual childhood bumps and falls etc., which had left me in a disorganized body that was working too hard to move through space. The thing is that I was so accustomed to my limitations that I didn’t know I was living with them. The relief was so great that I changed my career from nursing to becoming a Practitioner of Structural Integration. I felt that I had a way to work now that could greatly effect people and help them as greatly as I had been helped.
I began studying with Ken immediately. As I went through the process of training to become a Structural Integration Practitioner, I had him along my side continually enhancing everything I was learning. I was accepted to the Guild for Structural Integration in Boulder Colorado. I trained with Emmett Hutchins, Nilce Silveira, David Davis — some of the greatest practitioners of the work. Between these incredible teachers and working with my then father-in-law regularly, I became a confident practitioner and began my work. I attend advanced seminars and workshops to continue to be my very best in the knowledge of the work so I can offer keen resolution to the chaos in my client’s structure.
Performing the work of Structural Integration is in my very heart and soul. Every session I do is with great joy and love. I care deeply for my clients and their well being. In each and every session I strive to help my client find his/her greatest potential. I work not only with each client’s physical body, but, as a team, we investigate all that is going on in their life that has created the limitations in the first place. We search how and what we can do to enhance their daily life to reduce strain and increase effortlessness. In the end, we find answers so that they have greater ability, balance, mobility, fluidity, and strength in a functional body.

Virginia Solberg comes from a family of Structural Integrators. Her father-in-law, Ken Solberg, is also a well-known Advanced Rolfing practitioner.
I met Virginia in a Structural Integration class at the Guild for Structural Integration, many years ago. Besides being a student in a class I was teaching, we shared an apartment, since we were both from out of town.
I have always had the best experiences with Virginia. She was a dedicated student, very committed to the work. I met her again several times throughout the years, in workshops or other professional situations, and have witnessed her long-lasting devotion to Structural Integration.
I consider her a serious and competent SI practitioner.
— Nilce E.A. Silveira, Director & Faculty, International School for Structural Integration
All change is self change. Nothing changes unless we do. Change is a human attribute and as well an attribute of Structural Integration (Rolfing).
If one desires for their life to be different or desires their work to be of a different quality, one must change their own magnetic resonance.
I so honor Virginia for her commitment to change, to become more, to be in search for a larger picture, to dream new dreams, and to envision new futures. She is willing to step out of old patterns or out of the box, so to speak, and play with different results. I notice her willingness to more and more become the field of presence and in that stillness and space allow life to happen. This is the way of it for change agents.
